Why should I use a Bark and Beau towel instead of a normal 'human' towel?

Great question, and one we get a lot! Of course, you can use a normal towel. The difference with one of our towels is that its been designed specifically to make drying your dog easier. The built in hand pockets keep the towel in your hands whilst you are drying, rather than it slipping, bunching up or ending up on the floor - especially if your dog isn't particularly keen to stand still! The microfibre is absorbent but also quick drying, so you're not left with a big heavy, soggy bath towel afterwards. And the storage bag keeps it together in the car (or at home) and doubles as a little drying mitt to put your hand in and dry ears, faces and ears. So its not really about whether a normal towel CAN dry your dog, of course it can, but the Bark and Beau towel removes some of the chaos when drying your dog (especially if they are super wriggly like Darcy was!).

Does it come in different sizes?

Yes! We now have two sizes available... our original size and the XL. The original towels are available in three colours and measure 60cm x 100cm and are perfect for small to medium sized dogs, or as a compact travel towel. The XL measures 80cm x 130cm and is perfect for medium and large dogs, or for those people who just like having a bigger towel. We used the original sized towels with our 23kg German Shorthaired Pointer and have found it to be big enough for her even though she is a medium-large dog because she is shorthaired, Customers have used our original sized towels on breeds from dachshunds to labradors, and everything inbetween, but now that we have the XL size, we will advise larger breeds accordingly.

I have a 'dog drying robe' so why do I need a Bark and Beau towel?

Dog robes are brilliant, and we often use them with Darcy, but they only dry the body of the dog...not the extremities including sensitive areas like face and ears, as well as legs, feet and tail. That's one of the brilliant things about our towel; it allows you to put your hands in the pockets and apply the towel to the delicate face/ear areas, and wrap your hands around the legs and tail and get to the areas a doggy dry robe just doesn't come into contact with.

Can you explain your colour options?

We know how dirty dog towels can get, and we know they get washed a lot! With that in mind, we went for stone grey as our first colour! Dark enough to not show every spec of dirt or hair! We were asked to offer more colours, so we added a black towel, and a lilac towel in 2026. We have no intention of adding any light colours to our range... because they would always look dirty.

Is it just suitable for dogs?

This towel has been designed for use on dogs and wriggly puppies as a pet drying towel. It is not a toy and shouldn't be left unattended with any pet or child.

What is so special about the pockets?

Our dog is like a ball of chaos and rarely stays still for longer than a nano-second. We found that the pockets help us by enabling us to spread our fingers and hold the towel, as well as also being able to hold the bouncy dog! According to many of our customer reviews, the pockets have been a gamechanger for them too!

If I place an order today, when will my order be sent?

Orders after posted every Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Orders placed after 1pm on postal days will be dispatched the following postal day, although there is every chance I will package it the evening you place the order. Your order will be sent by InPost and delivered to your house. You will be sent a tracking reference number after dispatch. We offer FREE POSTAGE on all orders!​

Can I have my order sent as a gift to someone else in the UK?

Yes...once my arm is healed, which should be from 1st December, all being well!
