Why should I use a Bark and Beau towel instead of a normal 'human' towel?

Great question, and one we get a lot! Human towels were designed to be soft on human skin, not used on dogs with fur. Dog hair gets trapped in the long towel fibres and leaves that 'damp dog' smell that we are all familiar with. Our microfibre material is a denser fabric and traps less dog fur, therefore doesn't have that lingering smell. Plus, our towels dry MUCH quicker than a standard towel.

I have a 'dog drying robe' so why do I need a Bark and Beau towel?

Dog robes are brilliant, and we often use them with Darcy, but they only dry the body of the dog...not the extremities including sensitive areas like face and ears, as well as legs, feet and tail. That's one of the brilliant things about our towel; it allows you to put your hands in the pockets and apply the towel to the delicate face/ear areas, and wrap your hands around the legs and tail and get to the areas a doggy dry robe just doesn't come into contact with.

Can you explain your colour options?

We know how dirty dog towels can get, and we know they get washed a lot! With that in mind, we went for stone grey as our first colour! Dark enough to not show every spec of dirt or hair! We were asked to offer more colours, so we added a black towel, and a lilac towel in 2026. We have no intention of adding any light colours to our range... because they would always look dirty.

Does it come in different sizes?

Not at the moment, but watch this space! Our current towel measures 100cm x 60cm, with two pockets measuring approx 15cm x 20cm. We use our towel with our 23kg GSP and have found it to be big enough for her. Customers have used our towels on breeds from dachshunds to large labradors, and everything inbetween!

Is it just suitable for dogs?

Nope! We have also used it to dry our cat, and it would be great for other animals such as drying horses' heads and clipped legs. If you are using it on a non-dog, we would love to see your photos! And if you choose to use this towel on yourself, we won't judge ;)

Can it be used on humans?

Yes!, we don't see why not! We often reach for one of our towels when we return from a walk and the humans are as wet as the dog.

What is so special about the pockets?

Our dog is like a ball of chaos and rarely stays still for longer than a nano-second. We found that the pockets help us by enabling us to spread our fingers and hold the towel, as well as also being able to hold the bouncy dog! According to many of our customer reviews, the pockets have been a gamechanger for them too!

If I place an order today, when will my order be sent?

Orders after 2pm will be dispatched the following day, although there is every chance I will package it the evening you place the order. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked and you will be sent a tracking reference number after dispatch. We offer FREE POSTAGE on all orders!​

Can I have my order sent as a gift to someone else in the UK?

Yes! I wrap every order with care, and use beautiful tissue paper. I can include a handwritten message on a postcard with gift orders; just fill in the box asking for your message when placing the order. Just make sure you put the correct delivery address in the details when you place the order, or email us with the order number and delivery address and I will sort it for you.
